Open Evening 10th September – Please Come !!

“Fun, Fitness & Friends – More than just a Swim Club!

As mentioned in the last “Dates for your Diary” email, East Cavan Swim Club are delighted to host an Open Evening on Wednesday 10th September, 6-8 pm, at Bailieborough Swimming Pool & Leisure Centre – all parents are invited to attend throughout the evening.  The evening is being funded by Cavan County Council through the Peace 111 project and will have a multicultural theme. Refreshments will be served.

All swimmers should attend at their usual times for their training session. There will no charge for the training session that evening so swimmers can go directly to the pool.  As well as our own coaches, swimmers will benefit from the expertise of Mark Craig, Talent ID Coach, Swim Ulster.  Swimmers will also receive a commemorative T- shirt of the event.   In addition, each session will be attended by a local former club member Amy Kierans, who was a competitive swimmer at national level.

Parents of club members will have the opportunity to observe the swimmers poolside, meet the coaches and find out more about all aspects of the club including competitive swimming.

Non club members & parents are also welcome to observe the swimmers & hear about what the club can offer.

We are very grateful to Jane Crudden, Cavan County Council for this funding, & Cllr Niamh Smyth for her assistance in securing the funding.

Please come along and encourage anyone you think may be interested to come too.
